GRACEPOINT: Oak Bay Prepare For Filming On David Tennant's New Drama

Preparations for the beginning of filming on David Tennant's new drama series Gracepoint are taking place in Oak Bay, British Columbia in Canada.

Twitter user @nopicnic posted a couple of photos of an artist at work creating the headquarters of the Gracepoint Journal, the US series' version of the Broadchurch Echo.
The building used is apparently an old pharmacy but will now be home to Gracepoint's local journalists as they report on the murder that has rocked the fictional coastal community.

Gracepoint is a ten-episode event series for Fox, based on the original UK drama Broadchurch created by Chris Chibnall. Chris Chibnall is on board as executive producer and has written the first episode. David Tennant will be returning in the lead role; however his tetchy Scots DI Alec Hardy becomes American detective Emmett Carver for the remake. Anna Gunn takes over Olivia Colman's role as Ellie Miller.

Filming on Gracepoint begins on Monday 27th January 2014 and wraps on Friday 23rd May 2014.

The UK series of Broadchurch will return for a second series with filming due to start late May to early June. No official casting has yet been confirmed.
