GRACEPOINT: Change In Shoot Start Date

Vancouver-based YVR Shoots report that the start date for shooting of Gracepoint has now been pushed back to Monday 27th January. This falls into line with David Tennant's release from his current stage production of Richard II for the RSC at the Barbican Theatre in London which closes on Saturday 25th January.

Information comes courtesy of the latest Directors Guild of Canada Production List, which also confirms that shooting is set to wrap on 23rd May. The series will be shooting in several locations on Vancouver Island including Oak Bay Village and the Sidney waterfront. Scenes will also in California.

Gracepoint is a 10-part event series for Fox closely based on the award winning ITV series Broadchurch. David Tennant reprises the role as the lead investigator, now renamed Emmett Carver, charged with solving the murder of a child in a small coastal town in California. Anna Gunn plays Ellie Miller and other cast include Michael Peña, Virginia Kull, Jacki Weaver, Kevin Rankin, Kevin Zegers, Josh Hamilton and Nick Nolte. Original series creator Chris Chibnall is among the executive producers and has written the first episode and James Strong, who directed Broadchurch has signed on for several episodes of Gracepoint.

Gracepoint is expected to premiere as part of the 2014/5 season on Fox.
