The IPA Awards: Olivia Colman Receives Best Actress Nod For Broadchurch



Olivia Colman has been shortlisted among the contenders for Best Actress In A Series, Drama in the International Press Academy Satellite Awards. The nominations, revealed today, cover film, TV and new media.

Since 1996 the International Press Academy have honoured artistic excellence in the areas of Motion Pictures, Television, Radio, and New Media via the Satellite Awards, presenting awards to the best of the entertainment industry in comprehensive categories for Film, Television, DVD and New Media.
The IPA is an entertainment media association with voting members worldwide who represent domestic and foreign markets via print, television, radio, blogs, and other content platforms for virtually every notable outlet. Members include working freelance and staff writers, bloggers, broadcasters, and photographers from more than 20 different countries as well as the US and territories.

The 2013 awards will be presented on March 9th 2014 in Los Angeles.

Broadchurch created by Chris Chibnall for ITV and Kudos, starrred Olivia Colman and David Tennant as the police detectives charged with solving the murder of a young boy in a quiet UK seaside town. The acclaimed drama has since been screened around the world and a second series is in development as well as a US adaptation.
