Worldwide programming sales company Red Arrow International will present The Escape Artist for sale at the American Film Market in Santa Monica this month. During the eight day event films and TV shows from over 70 countries will be presented to American executives with a view to closing production and distribution deals.

Red Arrow International are presenting three titles from their TV catalogue: The Escape Artist, starring David Tennant, Esio Trot, featuring Dame Judi Dench and Dustin Hoffman and Lilyhammer starring Steven van Zandt. The event increases the possibility that The Escape Artist will be picked up by an American network for screening in the US.
Axel Böhm, the senior VP of global fiction acquisitions at Red Arrow, said, “Our TV-movie lineup is stronger than ever, and by cooperating with top-notch production companies like Endor, Fabrik, Larry Levinson and Chesler/Perlmutter, we have significantly increased our original English-language content.”
The Escape Artist stars David Tennant as talented junior barrister Will Burton. Will has never lost a case and believes his own maxim 'Everybody deserves a defence' - that is until he is called upon to fight the case of Liam Foyle (Toby Kebbell), a loner accused of a brutal murder. In spite of his doubts, Will wins the case, securing Foyle's freedom, but with consequences that he could never have imagined. The three part drama was created and written by David Wolstencroft, directed by Brian Welsh and also stars Sophie Okonedo and Ashley Jensen. It was produced by Hilary Bevan Jones and Paul Frift for Endor Productions for BBC One in association with Red Arrow International.The series is currently airing on BBC One with the second episode due on Tuesday 5th November at 9pm
