Video Countdown To Richard II: David Tennant As Hamlet

There’s three days left before the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Richard II starring David Tennant opens in Stratford-upon-Avon. Today’s video countdown clip features David’s take on what is probably the best known of all of Shakespeare’s soliloquies.

David took on the role of Hamlet for the RSC in 2008, directed by Gregory Doran, performing in both Stratford-upon-Avon and London. In summer 2009 the BBC, Illuminations and Greg Doran filmed a version of the production with all of the original cast members and creative team.

The clip is, of course, Hamlet’s ‘To be or not to be’ soliloquy
