The Escape Artist Is The Mail On Sunday's Pick Of The Week

The first episode of David Tennant's new BBC One thriller, The Escape Artist is the Editor's Pick Of The Week in The Mail On Sunday's Event supplement.
Giving the show 4 stars they say:

Innocent until proven gulty: it's the prime principle of the British justice system, but the downside is that sometimes those who are guilty may go free - that's the crux of this nerve-jangling three part thriller from Sppoks creator David Wolstencroft.
Wily defence barrister Will Burton (David Tennant) is enlisted to keep sinister suspected murderer Liam Foyle out of jail. It looks like an ope- and-shut case, but if anyone can get the accused off the hook, it's Burton - his ability to win cases from even the most difficult of positions has earned him the nickname "The Escape Artist", after all. Yet the lawyer may find his own brilliance coming back to haunt him if it turns out that he's actually just set a serial killer free to murder again in tense story laced with cruel irony.
