The new Royal Shakespeare Company staging of Richard II was one of the topics under discussion on BBC Radio 4's Saturday Review programme yesterday. The production, which stars David Tennant and is directed by Gregory Doran, opened last Thursday to great acclaim throughout the press.

Saturday Review: David Tennant as Richard II
Richard II stars David Tennant with Nigel Lindsay, Michael
Pennington, Oliver Ford Davies, Jane Lapotaire and Emma Hamilton. The
production is in residence at The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon until 16th November 2013. It
transfers to the Barbican in London on
9th December where it plays until 25th January 2014. Both runs are currently

The production will be filmed on November 13th and broadcast
into cinemas across the UK and
