Richard II Live From Stratford-Upon-Avon: Cinemas In Australia, Canada, Germany And Ireland Confirmed

The Royal Shakespeare Company have added new locations for the international cinema broadcasts of Richard II starring David Tennant.

In addition to the already known locations in the UK, USA, Malta, Sweden and Russia, the RSC have now added confirmed venues in Australia, Canada, Germany and Ireland.

The RSC stress that cinemas are still being added in the UK and around the world, so keep checking back: the list is in no way complete yet.

Richard II will open at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon on 10th October 2013 and will run until 16th November 2013. It will then transfer to the Barbican Theatre in London from December 9th 2013 until 25th January 2014. The production is directed by Gregory Doran and stars David Tennant as King Richard and Nigel Lindsay as Bolingbroke.

The play will be filmed and streamed live into UK cinemas on Wednesday 13th November, and then into UK schools on Friday 15th and into cinemas in locations worldwide via broadcasts running until February 2014
