Good news for Australian fans - the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Richard II starring David Tennant will be screening in cinema screens from December.
The first Australian cinema have announced dates for the broadcast of the play which will be filmed live on stage at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon. Cinema Nova in Melbourne will be streaming the production on Saturday December 7th, Sunday December 8th and Tuesday December 10th.

Richard II by
William Shakespeare will be directed by Gregory Doran and will star David
Tennant, Nigel Lindsay, Oliver Ford Davies, Jane Lapotaire and Michael
Pennington. The play will open at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon on 10th October 2013 and will
run until 16th November 2013. It will then transfer to the Barbican Theatre in London from December
9th 2013 until 25th January 2014.
It will be filmed for a live stream into UK cinemas
on Wednesday 13th November. This recording will subsequently be broadcast
into UK schools
and cinemas worldwide. Venues and dates are still being added so the RSC advise
