Broadchurch star David Tennant and the show's creator Chris Chibnall have been talking to Entertainment Weekly about the crime drama series which begins tonight on BBC America. When the series screened in the UK earlier this year it had millions of viewers gripped and the question of who killed young Danny Latimer was a national talking point. The series finale was watched by 10 million viewers and was the most tweeted about drama ever in the UK.

Broadchurch is an eight-part series exploring the aftermath of the murder of a young boy in a small coastal town. David Tennant and Olivia Colman star as Alec Hardy and Ellie Miller, the police detectives leading the investigation into the killing who have to keep the investigation on track as the press close, suspicions run high and everyone in town is a possible suspect. Arthur Darvill, David Bradley, Andrew Buchan and Jodie Whittaker are also among the stellar ensemble cast.
