UK Cinematic Release Date For The Postman Pat Movie



Digital Cinema Media have revealed the proposed release date of Postman Pat: The Movie - You Know You're The One on their website. DCM, the main vendors of cinema advertising in the UK, have listed the film's release as 25th December 2013.

Postman Pat: The Movie brings the ever-popular kids' TV character to the big screen in full 3D glory, as Pat ventures into the world of TV talent competitions. The film is written by Nicole Dubuc, Kim Fuller and Annika Bluhm and directed by Mike Disa. It features the voices of Stephen Mangan (as Pat), David Tennant, Rupert Grint, Kate Winslet and Jim Broadbent, with Gary Barlow providing Pat's singing voice. Character details are not known, but it is thought that David may play a Simon Cowell-type character while Rupert Grint is the member of a rival boy band.

Jordanian animators Rubicon are close to completing work on the movie which was originally scheduled for a May 2013 release.


The Story

With newly composed super powered pop songs, brand new sets and a host of new characters alongside the beloved favourites, Postman Pat: The Movie is set to enthrall a whole new generation of Pat fans old and young and have them on the edge of their velvet cinema seats wrapped up in the spectacular new world of Postman Pat in their stylish 3D specs ‐ just like Pat’s!
