BBC Four To Repeat United Starring David Tennant

BBC Four will be repeating United on Thursday 11th July 2013.

The powerfully emotional drama, first aired in 2011, tells the story of the legendary Manchester United "Busby Babes" and the shocking Munich Air Disaster in 1958 which killed 23 people, including eight of the young players, and left many more injured, among them rising star Bobby Charlton and club manager Matt Busby. The drama follows assistant manager Jimmy Murphy, played by David Tennant, who inspired and encouraged the survivors not only to continue to play but to be champions once again. Jack O'Connell co-stars as Bobby Charlton, with Dougray Scott as Matt Busby, Sam Claflin as Duncan Edwards and Dean Andrews as Bert Whalley.

United was written by Chris Chibnall and directed by James Strong who, together with David Tennant, went on to create the hugely successful ITV drama Broadchurch.
