The Seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy, has ruled himself out of appearing in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special. Speaking to Den Of Geek recently, Sylvester was asked if he was involved in any level in the celebrations.
"No!" he responded, but added, "Somebody mentioned something that the BBC is running on the weekend when it goes out. Big Finish have done us proud, they're coming out with something really exciting. The BBC, we've heard nothing though."

Filming began on the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special yesterday, with David Tennant, Matt Smith and Billie Piper all spotted on location in Wales. The BBC have also confirmed that Jenna-Louise Coleman, Joanna Page and John Hurt will also make up part of the all-star cast and that classic foes the Zygons will be making a return.
Recently John Barrowman and Freema Agyeman also informed fans that they too would not be returning for the special.
For the 50th anniversary, I dearly wish all of the living Doctors would make some contribution, if only to give thanks to a world of fans for their love and support over these many wonderful years.
ReplyDeleteWell, we've got the classic Doctor team up The Light at the End from Big Finish to look forward to, J. That'll be a contribution worth listening to, at least. :D
