About Spies Of Warsaw
There have been many war stories, however one era that is
not looked at often is the period just before the Second World War. The tension
of knowing what is coming adds to the draw dropping cinematography of “Spies of
Warsaw”. The epic mini series will be released on DVD from BBC
Worldwide on April 16, 2013. Starring David Tennant and Janet
Montgomery, the fictional story of spies in Poland lies immaculately within a
backdrop of detailed historical events.
Colonel Jean-Francois Mercier (Tennant) is a French military
aristocrat working as a spy in Warsaw .
Acting on his instincts, he endeavours to pinpoint Hitler’s upcoming invasion
plans. Putting his life on the line as well as those around him, Mercier is in
an ongoing struggle between doing what he wants and doing what is right.
During the ongoing tensions, Mercier meets a beautiful, yet
taken woman named Anna (Montgomery ).
Their ongoing love affair begins to threaten everything that Mercier has worked
for, however his feelings drive him even closer to her. Will they end up
together? Will Mercier choose love or country?
