Details Of Episode One Of The Politician's Husband Starring David Tennant

The BBC have provided details of episode one of the new three part drama The Politician's Husband starring David Tennant and Emily Watson. 

The Politician's Husband

The Politician's Husband written by Paula Milne and directed by Simon Cellan-Jones, is a companion piece to the multi-award-winning The Politician's Wife.

Episode 1

Aiden and Freya Hoynes are the golden couple of British politics. Aiden resigns from cabinet in a failed leadership bid thwarted by his best friend Bruce Babbish. In the cabinet reshuffle Freya is appointed to Cabinet, while Aiden returns to the back benches and a life of political obscurity. Finally out of her husband's shadow, Freya is forced to choose between her own career ambitions and publicly supporting her husband.

Cast: Aiden Hoynes is played by David Tennant, Freya Hoynes is played by Emily Watson Bruce Babbish is played by Ed Stoppard, Joe Hoynes is played by Jack Shepherd, Marcus Brock is played by Roger Allam, Noah Hynes is played by Oscar Kennedy, Ruby Hoynes is played by Lucy Hutchinson and Dita Kowalski is played by Anamaria Marinca.

The BBC have yet to confirm the broadcast date and time for the series which begins some time in the week commencing 20th April. However the Times claimed yesterday that it will start on Thursday 25th April at 9pm on BBC Two
