ITV's new crime drama Broadchurch has stirred up so much public interest that even betting agents Ladbrookes are offering odds on the killer's identity. The first two episodes of the eight part series starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman were watched by over nine million people each and trying to guess the killer seems to be the game of the moment.
At present the favourite seems to be Mark Latimer (Andrew Buchan), the father of victim Danny with odds of 4/1. The bookmakers have local vicar Paul Coates (Arthur Darvill) at 5/1 and creepy loner Susan Wright (Pauline Quirke) at 6/1. Amazingly, troubled detective Alec Hardy (David Tennant) has longer odds at 50/1 than his colleague, the kind-hearted Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) at 20/1.

Having a flutter on the Broadchurch killer isn't as odd as it seems. During filming the cast and crew were only told the murderer's name in the last hours before the final scenes were shot, so ran their own sweepstake on set.
Broadchurch continues at 9pm on Monday 25th March on ITV
