Big Finish executive producer Nicholas Briggs has clarified the extent of the involvement of the surviving Doctors in the new Big Finish 50th Anniversary audio story to be released in November 2013. As previously reported Doctor Who: Light At The End sees Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann all reprising their roles as the Time Lord in the new adventure. There was also a suggestion that the three most recent incarnation of the Doctor, Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Matt Smith, were also behind the project.
However, Briggs, in a Twitter conversation with our friends DT Forum has stated that their information was wrongly interpreted by the Radio Times and denies that the three modern day Doctors are involved.
"This was the Radio Times extrapolating incorrectly." he explained, "We stupidly said all surviving Doctors supported the project. We meant 'all surviving classic Doctors'."
So it looks sadly as though the much desired return of David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor won't be happening in this project at least.
