The Tenth Doctor and Donna are back! The news comes just one week after Sex Education actor Ncuti Gatwa was revealed as the Fourteenth Doctor. The BBC has confirmed today that David Tennant and Catherine Tate are filming scenes for Doctor Who which will be aired in 2023 when the show celebrates its 60th anniversary. The beloved pairing will also reunite with showrunner Russell T Davies for the first time since David Tennant's final episodes, The End Of Time Parts 1 and 2, which aired in 2009 and 2010. David, of course, made an appearance in the 50th Anniversary special The Day Of The Doctor, alongside Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman, Billie Piper and John Hurt. He and Catherine have also reunited for a series of Tenth Doctor audio dramas for Big Finish. In the first episode of Series 6, Journey Home, Richard Wilson has an extraordinary urge to go back to his birth place, Greenock. Who better to accompany him than fellow Scot David Tennant? Richard persuades David to drive. Other guests joining Richard during this four-episode series include Sir Ian McKellen, Arabella Weir and Stephen Mangan. There's been an update on the status of David Tennant's postponed West End play, Good, thanks to one of the show's co-stars, Elliot Levy. Good, which was postponed in both 2020 and 2021 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, will apparently be finally going into rehearsals. Elliot talks about the play in a new interview with Jewish News who say: Elliot plans to stay in Cabaret for the next six months, but will also start rehearsals with director Dominic Cooke for a reimagined production of CP Taylor’s Good with David Tennant and Fenella Woolgar. “It’s a sort of accompaniment to Cabaret as it’s set in Germany at the start of Nazism and revolves around a friendship between a Jewish psychoanalyst – my role – and an academic who is unconsciously drawn into the party.
