years.
The survey of 2000 Freeview viewers also voted Downton Abbey as the top show launched
in the period, with The Inbetweeners and
Sherlock in second and third place.
Also listed were The Apprentice and The X Factor, with Come Dine With Me in sixthplace , followed by Gavin & Stacey, Planet Earth and Dancing on Ice.
Catch up services were voted as the most popular
technological development of recent years.
"The rapid pace of technological change has offered viewers greater choice in how and when they choose to watch their favourite programmes, and dramatically improved the viewing experience. Our focus for the next decade will be to continue to bring people vibrant and high quality TV for free, in the format they want by making technology accessible."
