Tree Fu Tom comes to Canadian TV today
The hit animated show from the UK will be shown on the BBC Kids
channel. Former Doctor Who stars Sophie Aldred and David Tennant voice the
characters of Tom and Twigs in the amazing adventures of a young boy
called Tom who, uses the magic of Tree Fu to enter the world of Treetopolis as
a tiny superhero.
With his best friend Twigs, a silly and energetic acorn sprite and with the help of Zigzoo the inventor frog, Squirmtum the woodlouse, rancher butterfly Ariela and the wise treeling Treetog they have amazing adventures, usually involving saving Treetopolis from the mischievous Mushas Stink and Puffy.
Tom conjures up Big World Magic through special moves and
encourages the young audience to join in. All spell movements have been
developed from those used to help children who have movement disorders and
difficulties such as Dyspraxia, and the spell sequences have been designed by
movement specialists/therapists to assist and enhance the development of all
children – regardless of whether they have any movement challenges – at a
crucial time in their growth.
Tree Fu Tom was created by Daniel Bays ,
produced by CBeebies and FremantleMedia and animated by Blue-Zoo. It is the
top-rated show on CBeebies in the UK so far this year.
Tree Fu Tom will be shown at 2.30pm ET on weekdays on BBC
Kids as part of the new CBeebies Fall Schedule
