Tonight sees the annual Broadcast Awards ceremony taking place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London and United is up for the award for Best Single Drama.
In United David Tennant stars as Jimmy Murphy. The drama is based on the true story of Manchester United's legendary Busby Babes, the youngest side ever to win the Football League, and the 1958 Munich air crash that claimed eight of their number. The film draws on first-hand interviews with the survivors and their families to tell the inspirational story of a team and community overcoming terrible tragedy.

The Itch Of The Golden Nit, for which David provided a voice over, is also nominated in the Best Children's Programme category The full list of nominees is:

The Broadcast Awards are at the heart of the industry calendar, shining a light on the UK's most acclaimed TV shows and the unsung talent that made it all possible.
Winners will be announced on 2nd February, 2012, before 1,200 of the leading names in British broadcasting.
