Good Omens Stars Reunite To Guest Star In Surprise Double-Bill Sandman Bonus Episode

Netflix delighted fans of their top-ranked fantasy series The Sandman last night when they dropped a surprise bonus episode with a star-studded cast. The series, starring Tom Sturridge as Morpheus, the eponymous Sandman, is the long-awaited live action adaptation of Neil Gaiman's comic book series of the same name.

The new episode covers two chapters of the series. The first part is an animated adaptation of A Dream Of A Thousand Cats, which reunites the leads from the returning Amazon Prime fantasy drama Good Omens in voice roles. David Tennant plays Don, with Michael Sheen as Paul. Also cast are David and Michael's real life partners (and co-stars in the BBC lockdown comedy Staged): Georgia Tennant as Laura Lynn, and Anna Lundberg as Marion. Neil Gaiman, creator of both The Sandman and Good Omens, himself appears in the episode, voicing Crow/Skull Bird. Other cast members include Sandra Oh as The Prophet, James McAvoy as Golden Haired Man, Joe Lycett as The Black Cat and Diane Morgan as Gryphon.

The second part of the episode is a live action version of the story Calliope, starring Melissanthi Mahut as the title character, with Doctor Who stars Arthur Darvill as Richard Madoc and Sir Derek Jacobi as Erasmus Fry. Nina Wadia, Souad Faress and Dinita Gohil also reprise their recurring roles from the series as The Three.

The Sandman Episode 11 is available to stream on Netflix worldwide now.
