David Tennant Wins Scottish Comedy Award For Good Omens

David Tennant has scooped the Best Actor prize in the 2020 Scottish Comedy Awards for his role as Crowley in Good Omens. The awards were originally planned to be announced at a live ceremony in June, but this was postponed due to the coronavirus crisis.

David saw off competition from Jack Docherty (Scot Squad), Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education) and Susan Riddle (The State Of It) to win his category.

Good Omens, which co-stars Michael Sheen as Aziraphale, is an adaptation of the cult comic novel of the same name by Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Written and produced by Gaiman and directed by Douglas Mackinnon, the series follows the attempts by an angel and a demon to avert the oncoming Apocalypse. Good Omens launched in May 2019 and is available to stream worldwide via Amazon Prime Video.
