FOX TV have uploaded an edited version of their Gracepoint preview to YouTube. The minute long TV spot, entitled A Quiet Place Until Today, promotes the new ten-episode event series which will première on Thursday nights as part of the Fall 2014 line up.
Gracepoint is based on the multi-award winning UK series Broadchurch and shares a star in David Tennant, who reinvents the dishevelled, short-tempered Alec Hardy as American detective Emmett Carver. Other cast include Anna Gunn as Ellie Miller, with Jacki Weaver, Nick Nolte and Sara-Jane Potts. The producers have reassured Broadchurch fans that although the opening episode (scripted by Chris Chibnall) follows the original closely the series will introduce new twists and turns and new suspects and the ending will be very different.
